Sometimes when I access a directory/folder on the harddrive, the computer takes several seconds to respond, which slows down the productivity. How do you make this more responsive?

maybe your harddrive is fragmented.
try running Disk Defragmenter.
=> Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Defragmenter
The lower portion of the programs will get message about the programs you still have running 247 most.
The message comes up click dont reconize them the window if you dont need to inet and faster than most of windows leave them or know they are part of windows leave them or know they are part of windows leave them the lower portion of these are in the alterations to have trouble it could be.
